What MyOddsy is, what it isn't, and exactly how every number on the Track Record page is computed.

General Disclaimer

MyOddsy is an information and analytics service. Everything on this site — odds comparisons, expected-value calculations, “value bets,” “sharp plays,” parlay suggestions, scoring systems, rankings, and any other analysis — is provided for informational and educational purposes. Nothing on the Service is professional gambling advice, financial advice, or a guarantee of any outcome.

No Guarantee of Results

Gambling involves substantial risk of financial loss. Past performance, statistical models, and mathematical analysis do not guarantee future results. Expected value, edge percentages, and confidence scores are theoretical calculations based on available data at a point in time — not predictions or guarantees of profitability. You should expect to lose money gambling. Never gamble with money you cannot afford to lose.

Data Accuracy

Odds and score data come from third-party APIs and may be delayed, inaccurate, incomplete, or outdated. Lines change rapidly. Always verify current odds with your sportsbook before placing any wager. MyOddsy is not responsible for discrepancies between displayed odds and actual sportsbook odds at the moment you place a wager.

Track Record Methodology

When a pick is locked. The moment a game appears on a tracked surface and our model calculates positive expected value, the pick is saved at the price visible at that instant. The pick is graded against that captured price, regardless of any later line movement. This is what a user could actually have placed. Pre-game props (HR, NBA, NHL) are dropped after first pitch / tip-off / puck-drop because the inputs (lineup, weather, goalie) go stale.

Which sportsbook the price comes from.Every pick records the single sportsbook offering the best price at capture (the “best book”). It varies pick to pick. Pretending every bet was at one book would understate ROI for anyone line-shopping. Parlays are the one exception — every leg of a parlay must be priced at the same book, since you can’t place a parlay across sportsbooks.

How picks settle. A daily job pulls final scores from ESPN (and MLB boxscores for HR props), matches them to pending picks, and grades each as a Win, Loss, or Push. An auto-resolve pass also fires in the background whenever a user loads /record, throttled to once per 10 minutes so stats stay fresh between cron runs. Picks for games that cannot be matched to a final score within 48 hours are marked expired and excluded from ROI.

Publication ledger. Each batch of saved picks is hashed at the moment of publication and stored as a signed receipt. The /verify route lets anyone re-derive the hash and confirm the displayed pick has not been edited after the fact. We do not retroactively edit, delete, or hide losing picks; the ledger makes that verifiable rather than just a claim.

Unit calculation. All picks are tracked as flat 1-unit wagers. A unit is an accounting convention; it does not represent a dollar amount.

  • Win at +N: profit = N ÷ 100 units (e.g., +200 = +2.00u).
  • Win at −N: profit = 100 ÷ N units (e.g., −150 = +0.67u).
  • Loss: −1.00 units.
  • Push: 0.00 units (stake returned).
  • Expired / unmatched: excluded from ROI.

ROI & Win %. ROI = (total units won ÷ total settled picks) × 100. Win % is shown as a secondary metric and excludes pushes from its denominator. Win % alone does not indicate profitability — units and ROI do.

★ MyOddsy Picks vs All Picks. Both buckets are already +EV-filtered; neither is a neutral baseline. MyOddsy Picks are picks that clear a composite quality score (≥65/100) blending raw EV, sharp-anchor agreement, source confidence, and model probability. The comparison tests whether the score adds signal on top of the +EV filter — both should be positive, MyOddsy should be more positive.

Sample size. Units and ROI are shown from the first settled pick onward. Early figures are highly volatile and statistically meaningless — treat anything under ~100 settled picks as directional only.

Affiliate Compensation

MyOddsy participates in affiliate programs with regulated sportsbook operators. Commissions do not influence picks, math, or rankings. See the full Affiliate Disclosure.

Restricted Jurisdictions

Sports betting is not legal everywhere. It is your responsibility to determine legality in your jurisdiction. Where a state does not permit legal online sports betting, sportsbook referral links are programmatically suppressed; the analytical content remains available as informational material.
